About the Author

LARRY SPEGAR is an attorney from Blakely, Pennsylvania. Upon attaining the profession of a lawyer, Larry has been able to successfully combine the careers of acting and writing. Larry is a graduate of Valley View High School in Archbald, Pennsylvania; an Honors Program and Dean’s List student from the University of Scranton, Pennsylvania; and a Law Review and Moot Court Award Winning graduate from the University of Dayton School of Law. He was a member of the Varsity Football team and served as Captain of the Varsity Wrestling team. Larry was a contributing writer for the entertainment section of the nationally cited Aquinas Newspaper at the University of Scranton and later served as an Editor of the prestigious Law Review at the University of Dayton School of Law. While at Dayton, Larry was published nationwide on both articles he authored. The first, dealt with the delicate issue of identity or anonymity of adoption records, and the second highlighted the United States Supreme Court’s interpretation of a landmark decision involving defamation law. Larry was also the School’s Moot Court Winner while only in his second year. He was chosen the Outstanding Advocate for both Civil and Criminal Trial Practice.

Larry is currently a member of the Bar of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He is also a member of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He has successfully handled a large number of Hearings, Trials, Oral Arguments and other Court appearances, including several cited and published decisions involving the Superior and Commonwealth Courts of Pennsylvania; the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit; and two successful appearances before the United States Supreme Court.

Larry has a wealth of experience in theater, television and film. He has had the great pleasure of working on films such as The Peacemaker with George Clooney and Nicole Kidman; Godzilla with Matthew Broderick ; The Big Kahuna with Kevin Spacey and Danny DeVito; A Price Above Rubies with Renee Zellweger and Julianna Marguiles; Rat Bastard with Mike Stivala and the ABC television movie, Rear Window with Christopher Reeve and Darryl Hannah. In addition to films, Larry has appeared in numerous television commercials, theater comedies, dramas and musicals, voice-overs and commercial print.
