About the Author
I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior when I was eight years old and grew up going to church every Sunday. I learned about missions and the need to tell the world about God’s love for everyone and I sang in the choir. In my teens I began to teach young children about Jesus in a primary Sunday school class. This helped me to study God’s Word and I loved reading and telling children Bible stories. Though I was active in the church, I would often lose my zeal for the Lord. It was not until 1986, when a doctor found I had a grapefruit size tumor, that I told God He had my full attention and if I came through surgery I would completely serve Him and stop making excuses for not going and sharing His love with others. God began to give me a new heart that very day to obey Him and to do His will. In 1992 I felt a call to volunteer mission work overseas and after several trips self-published a Russian phonics songbook, the proceeds of which were used help build a church in Alupka, Crimea. This songbook has been used by many mission teams to encourage others through songs of praise. While in Cuba, East Germany, Russia, Ukraine, and the Crimea, God has continued to lead me as I participated in street ministry and discipleship training. It has been a joy these past nine years encouraging new believers and children on the mission field. Over the years I have written many things for my own use and have been blessed to share them with others, but it wasn’t until 1999 when I began to study the names of God daily that I knew I would write this book. Looking back, the last three years have been unbelievably fulfilling as I have experienced the intimacy of my relationship with my Creator grow as I read His Word and discovered His many wonderful names though my studies. As a wife of thirty-one years and a mother of two wonderful children, I am excited to share this book with my husband and my children along with the many friends and prayer partners who have supported me in this work. I pray that God will reveal Himself to you in new and wonderful ways as you study and learn to praise His names for He is truly an amazing God and worthy of our praise!
