The story you are about to read is true, how this knowledge came to be, is not known, except the author was given a series of revelations - April 1985, April 1986, and again in April 1987. The last revelation consisted of three words Essence, Essene, and Essex. He realized that Essence was the perfect title for a poem he had received in a dream in April 1985. Essene was a new word and a mystery of its meaning. Essex was recognized as an English word, but also of unknown meaning; and thus began a search that has led to the justification of the poem of April 1985, and the discovery of new meaning of religion -- its purpose for mankind - - the real purpose of god and the cosmos. The poem of April 1985 had been given the title "god, theory and declaration," other phrases had been constructed and added in order to complete the work. Those were removed and the original poem was given the right title and submitted for copyright, the first thing the author ever submitted to copyright. The revelation of April 1986 was also a poem, also without a title, but it had the word Essence in the body of the poem. The author had been a "nightwriter" for twenty years, so night inspirations were not new and of no significant meaning until the night in April 1987 when everything started to fit. The search developed in a manner which removed most of the varnished ideas he had held since his childhood, and made the history of religion a visible object for unbiased scrutiny and thereby revealing man's real Essence in the cosmos.

J. Ray Hunt, is a long time collector of old books, shade tree poet and philosopher. He is self educated by reading books, observing people and night thoughts beyond experience. At age sixty-five, Hunt still works in the life and health insurance business, as for the past forty years. The completion of this book was something that had to be done. If the information is of value to others then that would be an extra achievement. The research and compilation of this book spans fourteen years of on-and-off again rewriting. The adding and removing of information to get to the final manuscript was very difficult for someone uneducated in the modern skills of writing.
