About the Book
"Some of my writing is sentimental sweet and some of it is kick in the face mean," Gibbons states in his introduction. Righteous Reflections is a collection of 78 poems and one short story. Topics include love and relationships, alcohol and the nightlife, and the joys of being a parent and grandparent. The section entitled, "The Good, The Sad, and The Ugly" is a reflection of the author’s views on political correctness, and various social situations and attitudes.
About the Author
Dennis Gibbons was born in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse with majors in History and English. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Viet Nam War and also worked with NATO Forces in Northern Europe.
Righteous Reflections is Gibbon’s fourth book. Sun and Rain is a reflection of the Viet Nam Era. Thinking of You is a collection of romantic poetry. The Light and the Dark deals with alcohol and the nightlife.
Gibbons currently lives in Wisconsin, where he is employed as a teacher.
