Like Cindy turns around and their eyes locked. By now Eeshun is all up in the mix, not on purpose, its just taking Cindy a little too long to get back over to them. So she's standing on the footrest connected to the barstool with her bad ankle. She begins to slip a little off the chair and before she could fall and lose any cool points there was a helping hand to break her fall. Well she was slipping a little she was looking down and all we could see are a pair of shoes. (Flashback to school's play scene at the bottom of the stairs, we see a pair of shoes.) And before she could look up, gathering her composure. Eeshun Day Like Cindy Lady Bece Cindy Bece Devin Like & Cindy Cindy Like Trish Day Eeshun Day Trish Lady Trish Mr. David Clearly is his name ma'am and you are? Lady Cindy & Eeshun Trish Eeshun Trish Cindy Trish Eeshun Cindy
I'm his dad. Nice to meet you Mrs. Jones. (Hand extended out.)
Thank you, thank you. (Now, looks him dead in his eyes.) Day!
Miss Wells.
Cindy?
Like!
(Walks over and looks at Like and Cindy.) Well, well the group is back together.
Hey grandma. (We see Mr. Clearly and Trish looking on.) .
(Turns and looks at Bece and Devin.) Well, Bece if you're keeping Devin I think you should be leaving. Bece Mom, do you know Mr. Waters? Like You could say that.
Well lets go Devin things are getting a little hectic around here.
I'm riding with you big brother.
Y'all be careful. (Together they turn and look at each other.)
Ain't nothing changed.
Not one bit.
(Comes down to speak to Like.) Are you all ready?
(Looks at Eeshun.) Don't you move I've waited a long time to see you face to face again.
The next place I'm going is with you.
I'll hold you to it. (They begin to walk towards the stage. Like looks at Cindy and they speak to each other with their eyes and Cindy knows she'll be right there once Like finishes.)
Excuse me ladies my boss would love to treat you all to a bottle of the finest wine in the house.
Does your boss have a name? .
Lady, Lady Charlatan.
Call her Lady.
Thanks Mrs. C. (She turns to Cindy.) I finally get an opportunity to meet you in person Ms. Cindy Chocolate. I'm Trish Spears and I'm actually indirectly working for you too.
Looking for new music are we?
You guessed it right.
Oh you are working on the movie sound track.
Yes ma'am (Now turns to look at Lady.) and I think my boss is flirting with you. (Lady's not paying any attention to Trish. She's looking at David now.)
Mom, I think she's talking to you.
I believe she already knows this. Tell your boss we'll take a bottle of White Zinfandel and he can come over to ask my mom for a dance sooner or later.

About the Book
Either Everything Was Wrong from the Git Go or Right from the Start
This screenplay is character driven and takes place all in one day, "the day John F. Kennedy, Jr.’s plane crashed." Simultaneously it is also the anniversary of the death of Cindy Chocolate’s husband. The screenplay is centered around Cindy Chocolate and the people who know her directly and/or indirectly past and present. As the day flows and takes on a whole new life of its own we have flashbacks occurring to help the characters make it through some of their situations.
Cindy Chocolate is a star by nature. She always had her feelings and dreams, but she was too young to express them, so she repressed them all. But this is a new day and things will change and people are not always the same. Eeshun Wells is the best friend a girl could ask for and their love interests are not too far away on this unsuspected day. What will happen and who will stay? Will they go or will they try to seize the day? Whatever they choose, it won’t ever be the same again.
This was a beautiful day in Georgia, but it was a tragic moment for a positive pause.--
It is either wrong or right, but if we never speak or even act upon our emotions we will never know. Actions do speak louder than words but good words will never hurt you. Speak now or hurt later. Twenty years have passed between you and me so what will we do on this tragic day? Wait. You’ll see.
