Garden of Emotions To hold the sweetness of your breath in the embrace of a kiss introduces passion into my life. Unable to fathom the reasoning of my stand, Just as you cast the wish of forbearance, I now cherish the gentleness of your touch as dreams take possession of my slumber,
As I look upon the divine beauty that is you,
I long to discover the treasures of true beauty contained within your soul.
For though the splendor vision of you delivers the gift of perfection before my eyes,
it speaks nothing to me of who you are or who you wish to become.
Revealing portions of your soul in each word you speak,
in retrospect brings only further desire to share my soul with you.
you protect yourself with the shield of skepticism.
I hold my heart out to you displaying the faithful origin from which my words of truth are derived,
yet I silence them with the possibility of repudiation.
For to whisper fright is to conclude the beginning.
I care not to eliminate that which may be.
so it is granted.
I place before you the key to the garden of emotions wherein I reside,
lying in wait to present each of your feelings with a rose of understanding and a nurturing kiss.
For though wisdom may be limited,
my capacity to love is enduring.
Use this key merely in readiness,
as the garden shall never wither from the exhaustion of time for its growth is eternal.
and I find comfort in the knowledge that I am capable of offering to you this garden of emotions.

About the Author
Jeff Fleischman, a Wisconsin native, now resides in Indiana with his wife and son; after living in Colorado for the majority of his life and briefly in Utah. Learning to write poetry from his fifth grade teacher Mrs. Gallegos, he never imagined he would have a talent for this type of writing. When he was between the ages of fifteen and sixteen years old, he experienced the death of two friends and a relative. He discovered how enchanting the healing power of poetry truly was after writing and reading poems at their services. He then began to write about many of his life experiences. He also finished a short story that he began in the fifth grade about the experience at age six of his grandmother’s death. He finished Conglomeration of Feelings at the age of twenty-three, and hopes others will enjoy and benefit from this collection of poetry.
