The Absence of Fatherhood is No Joke

These are children crippled in their minds, in their spirits, and in their souls. They are also crippled in their self-esteem, their morals, their hopes, their confidence and their lack of knowledge of who they are. Too many of our children are hurting on the inside because their fathers chose to cripple them instead of empowering, girding, and loving them. Their fathers chose instead to leave them at the mercy of Satan, and we all know Satan has no mercy.

This crippling effect is being passed onto generations as we watch our children beget their own children. Now it’s their offspring who are made cripple as they watch their fathers disappear. One by one, they fall.

After the father has disappeared, most children are left with a single mother, and some of these parents are too weak to raise a child alone. Many of these mothers are so young, they have not grownup themselves. The last thing they need is the responsibility of raising a child. Hence, the child is left dangling between grandmother, mother and other relatives, rarely stable. He or she grows up with a poor self-identity, trusting few people and never feeling secure. Meanwhile, the father that walked away or the father that just couldn’t get along with the mother is nowhere to be found. If only he would make a brief appearance, or send some support money to ease the financial burdens of the home, then some comfort could be found and questions answered. But there is never a word.
