About the Book

All of the poems locked within the pages of this book are stories that have to be told in order for the character to live. Emotions can boil over and they need to be used in a positive light or else they will evaporate. My poems contain stories within stories and can be looked at in different ways thus giving the reader flexibility with the poem. I like to thing of my works as formless and that is why certain works lack punctuation. I like a flowing stream of thoughts and images, makes the mind wonder and takes the reader to different places. I find a montage sequence works well with the written word.

The book is my way of reflecting upon the many questions I have of the universe and my sense of being. Exploring universal absolutes and turning them inside out is a key, never be satisfied for this can lead to stagnation and stagnation will lead to the death of the mind. I have taken a certain path with my work and I hope you enjoy the outcome. I do not ask for you to agree with me but to at least consider and maybe even ponder what is written within these pages.

About the Author

For me to talk about myself is kind of weird but I guess you, the reader would like to know a bit about who I am and what makes me tick. I must say that I prefer to lay low and let my work do the talking for me so bare with me as I try to write about myself. Well here goes me.

I was born and raised in New Jersey, yes that is right the big NJ and I love the place. I assume some of you would call me strange for saying that But I guess you have not been to Jersey. I have lived my whole life in a little suburb in Northern Jersey, population of about 6,000. I am the son of hard working and proud parents who have sacrificed everything for their sons; I have a younger brother who I think the world of.

For me education has and always will be important. I went to a private school and busted my tail for four years to get good grades so I could go to college. I went to Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. I earned a degree in History with minors in Political Science and English. I must say that those four years are what awakened my gift, my writing. It was truly a blessing to be bestowed the ability to create. My college years helped me to grow and discover my true love, rugby, a very brutal and awesome sport and I would not trade it for anything.

Well now I am in the real world and working hard to build a life and it is a large and lonely world out there. A person has to fight to get what they want. Hard work is the key and my work ethic and determination are what drive me to higher levels. I myself have always been a dreamer; not to well ground in the here if you know what I mean. Love to explore new things especially things that challenge the mind, knowledge is the key to our existence. Without knowledge we are as good as dead, why live if there is nothing to strive for. If we knew everything it would be a stagnant world.

I really do not know what else to say about myself other than I love sports, reading, writing and a good time. I am a loner by definition because I enjoy my time alone. I deal with people all day at work so I like my "me" time. I do not want to give too much of myself away so I will let my work speak for itself.
