I remember the touch of your gentle hand
I remember when you proved you were a man
I remember kissing you for the first time
I remember together Saint Mary's Mountain we climbed
It was all an everlasting sensation
Being with you and your generation
Having you near to enlighten my soul
When it’s warm and when it’s cold
I remember when I couldn't help myself
I remember when I was in bad health
I remember when you cured me well
I'll remember in heaven or hell
Because you, you were in my life
You were my husband and I was your wife
I remember those cold days in September
You made me warm, yes I remember
Certain visions in my mind tell me I'm in love with you
And due to circumstances I am undecided on what I should do
Should I deprive myself of happiness and glorify my memorable incidents
Or should I constantly meditate and lose my good sense?
My passionate love for you is strong in more than one way
And my love explanation is determined by the things I say
If we should feel the same ebony lovers would define us indeed
And there will be no need for judgment by occupation or creed
Your obsessive disappointments are forgiven because I am blind
Because of the sympathetic spell your soul has cast on my mind
You the progressively, prudent, passionate, man discovered by me
Me the naïve, sensuous, frivolous, person I tend to be
We the inspired humans captured by nature’s temperamental desire to love and live
There isn’t an explanation, just love, joy, happiness and the things that we give

About the Author
Born in Manhattan and raised in the Bronx of New York City, Linda graduated from Morris High School. After graduation she went to school at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, New York, and then dedicated eight years of her life to the Army Reserves so she could pay her way through college. Since then, she has earned a BS degree from Regents College, University of New York. She served nearly a decade working for social services agencies helping other families deal with the harsh reality of poverty. She established her home in Virginia where she now works as a Program Manager for a large school division and moonlights as a local actress. Her credits include Deep Impact and Species as well as many other industrial videos, plays and television shows.
