Messengers of the Light

I’ve always lived by the sea, whether in California, Hawaii or at home, in Sweden, where I think I must have grown up under a sail. Maybe we all do in Stockholm for our playground is a beautiful archipelago of rocky, forested little islands, especially in summer; nearly everyone seems to spend the long, blissful days sailing, swimming or partying in the ‘Venice of the North’.
Come winter, though, it’s a different story.
Like people in all far north countries, we watch the days shrink to barely a few hours long and spend months mostly in darkness. But, worse for me, the cold weather means the coastal waters make the air damp and heavy. For a guy with chronic asthma, that can be deadly dangerous, as I discovered in late 1994.
An Arctic chill held Stockholm in its grip and while I’d grown old with Scandinavian winters, each season it was becoming more difficult to protect my health. I was working on some new clean energy projects and renting a little apartment in the quiet suburb of Saltsjobaden when I caught double pneumonia. Exhausted and having difficulty breathing, I sought medical help for my asthma but the city doctors gave me too much cortisone and my condition got even worse. My balance and sight were going, too – I couldn’t even read headlines on a newspaper.
Alone and exhausted, I watched in disbelief as my condition rapidly deteriorated over only a few days. When the doctors visited they finally realised my health was far worse than they’d reckoned; I was dangerously ill. They took urgent action and I was rushed to hospital.
Wailing like a banshee, the ambulance sped along the streets. On arrival at the hospital, I was barely conscious. Through the fog of pain and drugs I was dimly aware of the doctors and nurses rushing around me. They were fighting to save my life, but I felt so tired. I was slipping away from them.
But how could that be? I’d had contact with Spirit for more nearly 30 years, working on projects for the Light, yet there had been no warning. Nothing. No, this couldn’t be my time, I thought.
I struggled, trying to hold on to my life. I refused to succumb, to let go and die.
But I was too weak. I lost consciousness.
Death came swiftly.
Silence.
Peace.

Supported by his Spirit guide, ‘Power of Light,’ Bjorn’s practical mission since the mystical encounter 30-plus years ago has been to show, through technology, how we can live in balance with Nature. His mission took him from Sweden to California and Hawaii but, back home, Bjorn’s message is more important than ever with the increasing scale of environmental damage across the globe - which Spirit saw coming, and now predicts that Mankind’s very survival is on the line.
Bjorn is a devoted Buddhist and a frequent public speaker and is often interviewed by newspapers, radio, and TV. He is a sailor, a private pilot, guitarist, and car enthusiast who is deeply interested in people and the great outdoors. Bjorn is married to Linda from the jungles of Burma, has two sons and a daughter, and lives in Sweden.
