About the Book
This collection of writings began as a method of doodling during breaks and lunches as an OSPS operator to occupy my time. However when the ideas began flowing on a more frequent basis I realized that this was more than a way to occupy my time. I began fitting the phrases together like a puzzle, and every phrase fit perfectly, along with, describing the holidays, person, or item it was referencing. I was only allowed to complete writings that God had directed me to write by the Holy Spirit. God has done a marvelous work. That’s why it’s named inspirations from above. I hope you are blessed by the contents of this book.
About the Author
Hilda L. Kay is a product of two schoolteachers, and a single mother of two daughters, ages 12 and 9. I consider myself an ordinary person who has had an opportunity to be used by God. Both of my parents died when I was younger and I was forced into a world of independence and self-reliance. I faced several issues at an early age that remain foreign to some middle-aged people at this stage in their life, but I learned quickly to lean and depend on God for the answers that I needed for life’s issues and concerns. Although I’ve lived the majority of my adult life without my parents, I still consider myself blessed. I’ve obtained a lot of information from both of my parents during a short time frame, along with learning how to deny myself and my will to be available for God’s use. Through it all, I’ve learned to thank God for and appreciate the little things in life. I also value the intimate network of friends that God has given me as a support group (friends, prayer warriors, and my future husband). I expect for this to be one of many publications that I complete or assist in completing with God’s direction. I am also thankful to God for allowing me to fulfill the vision that he has given me with the publication of this book. “Be grateful for & give praise to God for all things regardless of how small they seem.”
