JESUS AND THE LITTLE CLOWN
I am just a funny, little clown
With funny clothes and a big, red nose
But, sometimes I don’t feel funny
Because that’s not the kind of life I chose
Now, folks – they hardly talk to me
And no one seems to care
Yet, I always feel a warm presence
As though there is always someone there.
I always hear a gentle voice
Saying – though your life is sad and wild
I love you as I love all others
For you also are My child.
So, if you follow in my footsteps
It makes no difference how you are dressed
I shall love you just the same
And I will always keep you blessed.
For a little clown should never be
Alone, so sad and blue,
Because, if you follow Jesus
He will always be there for you.
For little clown, you will always be
A very special part
Of life and love for your Savior
If you keep Jesus in your heart.
Like Thunder – His Voice Is Heard
Like a volcano from the mountains
Like something I have never heard
It’s a message from Lord Jesus
He is sending out His Holy word
Telling us He will be coming soon
But, He lets us know – not when
And just like thunder in His voice
Echoing "You Must Be Born Again"
And if you read the Bible
You will know the end is near
So listen carefully what Jesus says
Then you will understand what you will hear
There is so much trouble everywhere
Much hatred, violence and crime
What folks don’t understand too well
Is – they haven’t got too much time
Yes, Jesus loves us – this, we know
But, there is something we have yet to learn
That with all the love and trust He gives
He expects nothing in return
He would just like us to be like Him
To just follow in His ways
And He will guide and protect you
Throughout all the rest of your days
And if you follow close to Him
Then one day you will find
Jesus keeps and makes His promises
And He will never leave you behind
Just let Him know you believe in Him
And that He lives within your heart
And with all His glory and wisdom
Of Him, you will always be a part
So, lift up your head and praise Him
Let Him know you worship Thee
And listen to the words He speaks
Then much wiser you will be
So, get down on your knees and pray
I am sure He will listen to you when
You say, the prayer – the prayer of prayers
That will make you become Born Again
Then you will go to heaven
Where all good, true Christians go
And you will meet our Savior
Just like the Bible tells you so
So, listen for the thunder now
Just like you have never heard
It is a message right from Jesus
Saying He is coming soon
For Jesus Is The Word

These Poems
are inspired by The Holy Spirit
These poems are written by Dorothy A. Boyle who is
blessed by the Holy Spirit with this gift to be able to write a blessed poem in
one sitting and sometimes in as little as ten minutes or less, that is a real
gift from the Lord.
Treasures Of The Heart, Volume One is my first
published book of 100 poems. My poems are all about The Lord and are enhanced
by the peaceful pictures and the scripture verses that accompany them.
Jesus has been my inspiration in every poem that I
have written here. In the near future, I will have 1st Books Library
publish Treasures Of The Heart, Volume Two.
I pray that the Lord touches the hearts of everyone
that reads His words in my poetry and in some special way, He draws them near
to Him. I hope you enjoy reading these poems and sharing them with others as
much as I do writing them.
I would like to share with you some of my favorite
verses:
1 Chronicles 4:10
And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest
bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me,
and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God
granted him that which he requested.
John 3:3 "Jesus answered and said unto him,
'Verily verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the
Kingdom of God.'"Romans 10:9-13 "That if thou shalt confess with thy
mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him
from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For
with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession
is made unto salvation. For the
scripture saith, no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord
over all is rich onto all that call upon him.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
About the Author
The author's name is Dorothy A. Boyle; she was born in Passaic, N. J., in 1925. She lived there until she married in 1945. She then moved to Clifton, N. J. She has lived in N. J. all her life. She is the mother of three, grandmother of six, great-grandmother of twelve, and also the foster grandmother of three and foster great-grandmother of three. She started singing in a country/western band when she was twenty-five, and soon after she became one of the first female drummers in the N. J. area. She played and sang for thirty-eight years. God has blessed her in many ways. He gave her the knowledge of music. She paints photographs; she does sewing, such as making bride doll gowns. Some were made in order to match the one the bride actually wore. The thing she likes most of all right now is writing poetry – all about God himself. She has written poetry since she was a child. She has won a few poetry contests, but never did anything about it because she did not have the money to back her up. She decided to have a book of her poems published. She had many offers from different publishing companies, but she found that 1st Books Library is the best way to go. In 1992 she became a "Born Again Christian." She now writes poetry only about the Lord. He is her inspiration. He inspires her in each poem she writes. She gives Jesus the credit and glory for them all. She knows that the Lord writes the words, she just holds the pen.
