About the Book
INSPIRATIONS FOR FINDING PEACE AND HAPPINESS is a book of poetry and writings written with the purpose to encourage and enlighten individuals - letting them know that we as people face some of the same type of life situations. And, that if we have faith in Jesus Christ, we can find comfort in The Word of God. Each poem is accompanied by a scripture verse from the King James Bible version. And, each writing has a particular story for its writing. Hopefully, readers will read and study the scriptures further otherwise, just enjoy the poetry and writings. INSPIRATIONS FOR FINDING PEACE AND HAPPINESS is divided into five sections: SECTION I ---- "Quiet Meditation" is a well-balanced of poetry based on Christian growth and daily living. SECTION II ---"Reminiscing Through Time" is based upon general living encounters on which one may reflect. SECTION III ---- "A Message for the Occasion" has poetry for special occasions. SECTION IV ----- "A Thought to Consider" is a collection of my thoughts over time. As I experienced a situation through daily living, a thought would usually come to mind. SECTION V ---- "Comforting Scriptures " and "Calendar Journal" (2 years). This section of the book is basically self-explanatory. The journal may be used for recording rewarding experiences, Bible notes, etc. ***** "Footprints Behind," "Beauty in a Day" – "Beauty in a Moment," and "Dreams Do Come True" are just a few of the poems that paint a picture of peace and serenity.
About the Author
My motto for living happy is, "Share love and kindness this moment while you have the opportunity." Through prayer and meditation, I’ve learned better how to listen to my heart and gather spiritual wisdom and understanding. My Christian rearing and nurturing and a Bible teaching church are definitely positive assets to my daily living today. At a very young age I accepted Christ. And, through reading, studying and listening to the Word of God, I learned how to trust His teachings. -------- Luvenia R. Williams is a retired elementary school teacher who is caring, creative, and enthusiastic. She has taught more than thirty diligent and dedicated years. And, is presently employed with the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools in Winston-Salem, North Carolina as a half-time Primary Reading teacher. She grew up and was married in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, received her high school diploma from Paisley Jr. Sr. High School and Bachelor of Science degree from Winston-State College. She did further study in Reading Education at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro, North Carolina and Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. Also, she received a diploma from The Institute of Children’s Literature in Redding Ridge, Conneticut for the course study in Writing for Children and Teenagers. She has written several skits, poems, and other writings for school and church activities and has led other roles in these settings. Her personal interests are writing poetry and skits, reading, singing, and listening to a variety of music. She enjoys helping others.
