About the Book

Laura Marie Winslow and Sam Watsky received a call from the Mayor of New York City to assist the police in finding the person responsible for a recent series of murders. Laura, who had no experience solving murders, and Sam, who was much against their involvement, accepted another job and declined the Mayor’s request to assist the police.

They were called by the Multi Electronic company to find out who was stealing from their inventories, but the CEO of the company made life rather difficult for them, so both walked away from this assignment. When a murder occurred in one of the stores, he cried for them to return.

In the meantime, Mayor Collins had to deal with a personal crisis of his own. His daughter, Melinda, had marital problems and was raped by her husband after she threw him out. A tearful Mayor called in W&W to please assist in this tragedy. However, unbeknownst to W&W, the Mayor also called on the FBI, which created a problem, as Laura was divorced from an FBI’s big gun.

Way into the investigation, W&W found that the Mayor’s daughter’s problems were indirectly connected to the murders. Not only were they dealing with imposters, but a doctor, electronic devices no one ever saw, and manly tragedies. No one envisioned how these murders were possible without a mark on the bodies, so everyone was stymied. Laura pursued the criminals relentlessly with her expertise in electronics, uncovering surprising secrets and creating several of her own.
