F R I E N D, THAT WORD SPELLS FRIEND, ANY OF US CAN BE,
IF YOU DIDN’T STAB EACH OTHER IN THE BACK,
YOUR FRIENDSHIPS, YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO KEEP.
FRIENDSHIPS ARE GOOD TO HAVE, AS LONG AS IT’S POSITIVE,
THEY OVER LOOK ONE ANOTHER’S FAULTS AND THEY ALSO FORGIVE.
BEING LEADERS FOR ONE ANOTHER, AND BEING A ROLE MODEL TOGETHER,
RESPECTING ONE ANOTHER SO THE FRIENDSHIPS CAN LASTS FOREVER.
A FRIEND, TRUSTWORTHY, HONEST, KIND AND SWEET,
A FRIEND, THAT IS ANY OF US CAN BE!

About the Book
Secrets From The Depths of my Soul, are poems that touch upon a variety of topics related to love, life, fear, self-esteem, and prayer to conquer the challenges in life you are faced with. Motivated by experiences of my own personal journey, this book has been designed to assist and support any reader who may be encountering similar challenges as well. Just to name a few, one poem in particular, "In Life You Make Your Place", helps to build your self-esteem, prevail over your iniquities, polish your understanding of life and making your place in it. "Our Children", embarks upon all that our young people are exposed to such as: drugs, alcohol, and violence. They have so much to deal with at an early age than my generation. Last but not least, "Rely On Jesus", underlines your faith and complete trust in him to overcome any obstacle you may be struggling with.
About the Author
Daphney Lockette is a graduate of Virginia State University with a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology. Currently, she is pursuing a masters in Elementary Education with a certification in Instructional Technology. She is an educator in a public school, a missionary and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.
