About the Book

This is a story about the actions of young men after World War II who reacted to the commencement of a new war in Korea.

These young men voluntarily entered the U.S. Navy, were taught to fly and were sent off to Korea on Aircraft carriers to harass the enemy. There were a number of young heroes who died in training and in combat. Coincidentally, all were 23 years of age – so the title.

It is in their memory and memory of all who served so valiantly that this book was written.

I dedicate this book to my wife, Irene, who has encouraged me to complete this effort with her love and support.
