CAT DREAM
Did you just wake up?
You slept a long time.
As your eyes blink softly
You stretch your long spine.
Yellow eyes scan slowly
As you walk cat-like across the room.
Only you know your dreams
And you'll be asleep again soon!

Leaving the city is hard, I'm always torn.
Visit the Naval ships and the submarines
See De Young, Legion of Honor, and other tourings
The Presidio and Fort Point has a beautiful view
You're sure to fall in love with San Francisco, too!

About the Book

About the Author
Reflections Of A Poet's Eye is Susan Cortsen's first book. She has been published in five anthologies by The National Library of Poetry. They are Amidst the Splendor, The Best Poems Of 1997, Etches In Time, Through The Looking Glass, and Outstanding Poems Of 1998. Since the age of 13 Susan has been writing poems and also loves to sketch illustrations. Susan is now working on completing her second book titled Cats Do Funny Things for future publication.
