Preface
'I want you to write a book' are the most exciting words a book lover can hear! God spoke them to me in July 1977. He gave further revelation in April 1989, calling me 'to go and bear light to the nations that sit in the darkness of spiritual oppression. Your book will be a light unto the Gentiles. You will be My spokesperson on Grace.'
'The reason why it is so hard to make a book is that the maker is required to spread his brains out on paper,' wrote Reverend Bud Robinson in Sunshine and Smiles.i When the Lord called me to write, He let me know it would be about living in His grace. God doesn't waste anything; He plans too well. He knew my personality, whom I would marry, and all the things He intended for me to experience. 'Grace' was a natural part of His purpose.
Before I wrote my devotional chapbook, The ABCs of Grace, I had no idea the word 'grace' was so diverse. Like a diamond, each facet reflects different light, but it's still one stone. Grace is such a powerfully pregnant word, so full of everything God has to give. Paul G. Johnson wrote, 'The receiving of grace is not limited to one hour a week in church on Sunday. In God we live and move and have our being all week long. Where grace is, God is.'
Mine is a simple story of God's guidance and grace along His chosen paths. During this journey of faith I experienced many facets of God's grace. Even the times I wandered off the path, His grace drew me back. Psalm 37 indicates that my steps are established by God, and He delights in my way. Should I stumble I won't fall, because He holds my hand.
John, the beloved disciple, wrote that we've all received 'grace upon grace' because of who Jesus is. Since God loves people, daily He pours out His grace upon us like waves on the shore-through blessings, direction, and yes, chastisement.
I thank God for letting me share His message of grace to inform, comfort, and encourage people. As you read about my life, consider your own journey of faith and how you can share your story with people who need to hear or see Jesus.

'I want you to write a book' are the most exciting words a booklover can hear! When God called me to write about 'grace,' I had no idea the word was so diverse-like the many facets of a sparkling diamond.
GRACE UPON GRACE is my journey of faith, coming to know God in a deeper, more personal way. God revealed Himself to me through various 'waves' of grace: salvation, abundance, gifts, ministry, power, etc. I learned I could always trust God, whether in times of my obedience or my rebellion, or of His discipline.
Grace is a gift God pours out daily, showering blessings upon all of us. We don't have to work for it, just receive it. God loves us so much, He wants us to draw near to Him and find grace when we need help.
Join me on my journey and see how I discovered God's grace. Your life will be blessed, also.
About the Author
Through Gift of Grace Ministries, Anne Grace writes inspirational articles, newsletters, and books, including a devotional booklet, The ABC's of Grace. Published in various news media/books, Anne is currently the Religion Columnist for a local weekly newspaper, The Bluffton Packet.
Active in the Savannah, Georgia, chapter of Aglow International, Anne ministers to various women's groups throughout the United States. Her hobbies are reading, walking, cooking, and swimming.
Anne has a B.S. in Education from Radford University (Virginia), and is a graduate of the Writer's Digest School (Ohio). A former elementary school teacher, she has traveled extensively with her husband Bob. Parents of four grown children and two grandchildren, the Graces reside near Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
