About the Book

THIS IS A BOOK WHOSE TIME HAS COME: EASY, READABLE and THOROUGH. Unlike the textbook style, reference type parenting books on the market today, Doctor Howie On Raising Children is intended to be read from cover to cover, allowing readers to feel confident by the end of the book that they are capable of taking on the responsibility of raising a new baby. This is especially important for the new mother and mother-to-be, who at first may be completely overwhelmed by the mere thought of the new role she has undertaken.
This book is a concise 'how to' manual which comfortably guides parents through the first five years of their child's life. It covers the vast majority of common inquiries and problems that concern most parents, yet is written in an easily readable and amusingly anecdotal fashion.

This book is not a replacement for the presently available reference-textbook type books, but is a common sense adjunct to complement those books. Dr.Howie is the PRIMER that must be read before all the others.
