About the Book

Tripping Over Shadows is a story about how easy it is to fall for the wrong guy, especially when you know he's not the one for you. After so many mismatched relationships, you'd think you would see the signs, especially in the early autumn of the mature stage in your life. You'd think men (and women) would be tired of playing games. It's easy for people to hide things that they know will be found out sooner or later.

Terry was in her mid-fifties and at the prime of her life. She wanted to find her soul mate (not in a rush, mind you, but soon) and although she wasn't looking, she found a repeat of the past, in Mr. Selfish, Mr. Intimidated, and Mr. Afraid of Commitment. She also found that whoever did something to him before, was being relayed to her (as if she had anything to do with it).

Neil was well liked and had a good heart, but he couldn't let go of the "street" and the past. He tried. He thought he could have some happiness when he met the lady and once again, the shadows got in the way.

About the Author

Sandy Crawford is a native of Baltimore. Her writing began in 1974. Her first publication came in January 1999, with the appearance of "Shadows of Prejudice" in the National Library of Poetry's Anthology, entitled: Guided by Voices. She received the Editor's Choice Award for her unique style of writing. The decision to publish came when she lost her 32-year-old daughter, Karen Rene on April 25, 1999. Knowing God; and with the support from her son, David and Grandson, Anthony, she had enough inspiration to go on.

"Since Junior high, music has been a part of my life. From the Rock and Roll groups in "Talent Shows", to the Choral Ensemble with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and Coppin State College Choir; all of which led me to this present place". I am a Jazz Musician and the Minister of Music for the Koinonia Baptist Churches. I have appeared on TV 02's "Lift Every Voice" with the Brown's Memorial Baptist Church choirs on numerous occasions and TV 13's "Now & Then". Then, the Sportsman's Lounge and the Sphinx Club were my favorite places to sing, and Now, much of the music is rendered in many Baltimore Churches. Quite a contrast? You bet, and so am I. And this is only the beginning!
