About the Book

If you suddenly awoke in the year 2101 and the trends that exist today had continued to their logical conclusions, what kind of society would you find? That is precisely what happens to Larry Blevins in The Anthrocide Solution. He finds a world where families, faith and freedom are not merely discarded, but outlawed. It is a world where raising children or mentioning God can get one executed in a bizarre sports-arcade-game-show while gamblers bet on how long it will take. It is a world where good and evil are no longer recognized. It is a world whose seeds are being planted in our day. Yet, even in this nightmare world is a word of hope--whispered for fear of discovery. To his great surprise, Larry becomes an integral part of fulfilling that hope via God's planned solution--the Anthrocide Solution.

Larry's strange odyssey begins in late 1982 at a time when fear of a nuclear holocaust runs high. Larry is a young man going nowhere, a loner and a loser. Despondent, he answers a mysterious newspaper ad and finds himself involved with a group of anti-nuclear war intellectuals awaiting WWIII. They have found a way to preserve themselves until the after-effects of the holocaust they're sure is imminent have passed--some 500 years. The group misinterprets an international incident as the beginning of the end, and Larry begins his journey into the future.

Due to sabotage, Larry awakens in 2101, three hundred years earlier than his companions. He is now more alone than ever before--until he rescues a young woman, Jeenine, from an attacker. She kindly gives him refuge from a world of terror where no one dares venture out at night, and "the walls listen." Children are treated as government property, subject to "post-natal abortions" up until puberty. Promiscuity is considered the pre-eminent unalienable right. Beneath all this misery is a hidden hope shrouded in myth and mystery: a place called Allspate. Larry, Jeenine, and her family face hardships, uncertainty, and even execution in attempting to escape the wicked city and find the fabled Allspate.

What they find is a small, hidden enclave of Christians. Once there among them, God leads Larry to attempt what he and they are certain is impossible: to save The City. Most amazing of all is the role God has for one that began as "Larry the loser" so many years before.

Here are some comments about The Anthrocide Solution:

"An excellent book. I found myself staying up all hours because I couldn't put it down."

--Mark Leeper, Pastor; past Board Chairman, San Jose Christian College

"I'm reminded of it by events in today's news. It's frightening to see it coming true."

--Linda Granger, Executive Director, LOCC

"What George Orwell's 1984 was to totalitarian government, The Anthrocide Solution is to the ever-accelerating drift away from morality. I believe you will find this a compelling story that will stay with you. In fact, email me at anthrocide@yahoo.com and let me know your impressions."
