Emany's Embarrassing Day

About the Book

Emany is a seven-year-old frog who is excited to make new friends on his first day at school. However, he soon realizes that the other frogs aren’t as kind and friendly as he is. After a very embarrassing first day at school, he refuses to go back. But his grandfather convinces him to face his challenges. He goes back to school, completes his challenges, and is victorious in the end.

About the Author

Noel has been an illustrator and children’s book author for the past seven years. He has a great love for drawing and writing and thinks that pursuing a career as a children’s book illustrator and author is the perfect way to combine his love for both of his two passions. He was born in Kingston, Jamaica, to a mother who was a teacher and a father who was a production manager. As a little boy, he spent the majority of his youth drawing. This passion followed him well into adulthood. In college, he earned an associate’s degree in graphic design from Monroe Community College and a bachelor of arts degree in fine arts from Buffalo State College. The story of Emany was inspired by a storyboard project he was assigned at his former College, Oswego State. That small project blossomed into this inspiring children’s book, which many children have grown to love. The main message is to be determined and never back down from any challenge, even when others don’t believe in you.
