About the Author

As a student, Kailem had a love of the arts. He performed in school plays, sang in the chorus and thrilled his classmates with his dance moves. He was also quite the entertainer as the school mascot. But his true passion became poetry. He found this to be his escape and true language. It was an easy transition to turn this love into a desire to write his first book for children. He hopes to, one day, inspire his children to do great things through his prose. Kailem lives in the night lights of Winston Salem North Carolina.

As a long life friend to Kailem im incredibly proud of the work that was put into this story. I could not recommend this book enough to anyone that is looking for something for their children.

Highly recommend this great book for young readers I greatly appreciated everything about this book. Especially the cursive font that the writer chose for it. It is geared towards children, and while many do not know how to read cursive I feel that may be my favorite part about it. I sat down with my 3rd grader and read him the book aloud, then helped him read it back to me. It was a wholesome experience for both of us that sparked his interest in the nearly lost art of cursive lettering. I like to think that every child should know how to read in such font since so much of our history is written in it, including our most important documents of this great nation. The message was great too. No matter how much you love somebody, you cant make them love you back. That even if things do not work out as you would hope, you may always appreciate the love you had for that individual. In this story that love was for the moon which set an innocent tone for young readers with a valuable life lesson that I am sure that I will have to revisit in my sons future. I can hear it now as I talk to him about future relationships, I will ask him "Do you remember the book The Lone Wolf and the Moon?" lol. I couldn't be more happy about my purchase of this lovely story.
