About the Book

Everyone has different feelings at different times; sometimes things are good, and sometimes they are bad. While you may want to express yourself to others, it’s not always easy to tell people how you are feeling with words. Sometimes I Feel Blue explores some of the ways you can express your feelings that don’t use words. You can draw or paint, using colors and showing how you feel with paints or crayons or pencils. You can also dance and sing or wiggle and giggle. Sometimes pretending is a good way to show how you feel. You can take a walk or play on swings or laugh or cry or make silly faces. There are so many things you can do to share what you are feeling and so many ways to express yourself. In this illustrated children’s guide, a little girl who likes to color her feelings explores how children can express themselves to others through a variety of activities.
