About the Author

Anne M. Nordhaus-Bike is president of the firm ANB Communications, website www.anbcommunications.com. She began her career as a business and technical writer, working at companies such as Ameritech and Dental Products Report. Later, she joined a major healthcare consulting firm, where she earned recognition as a national leader in communication and training and was one of the authors of Fundamentals of Flexible Compensation (John Wiley & Sons, 1992). She founded ANB Communications in 1993 as a business communication consulting firm, serving clients such as Accenture and Philips Medical Systems. During these years, she also helped establish the Gazette, a Chicago community newspaper, where she served as fine arts editor for two decades. In 2006, she launched Living in Harmony, a monthly astrology column that ran for two years. She remains involved with the paper as assistant editor, member of the board of directors, and contributing writer. Her work has been recognized with four Apex awards from Communications Concepts Inc., a Washington, DC-area communication and journalism think tank, and one award from the Illinois Woman’s Press Association. In 1997, she was added to the “Wall of Fame” of the National Women’s Hall of Fame in Seneca Falls, NY. After a 20-year hiatus from painting, she began working as a professional artist in watercolors and oils in 1996 and has shown her works in numerous solo and group shows. An accomplished musician and theatrical performer, in the past few years she has focused her work in the performing arts on spiritual and mystical subjects and themes inspired by nature. Most recently, she has begun arranging and composing music and combining it with spoken word, photography, and visual art.
