In the kitchen, twins Bobby and Chrissy finished putting their dirty dishes in the sink. Mother told them, “You two go outside and play for a bit. I have some work to do.” Bobby and Chrissy looked at each other and smiled. Bobby wondered, “Does it have anything to do with our birthday tomorrow?”
“Bobby!” Chrissy interrupted him.
“Boy, if you don’t get outside now, there will be no birthday tomorrow,” Mother said with a firm look on her face. Bobby ran out the door and Chrissy followed him, giggling. Once the kids were out of the room, Mother shook her head and smiled.
