These stories really touched my heart. I can only identify with one story, but I know a few people who have been in these situations before. I want to be able to tell anyone who will read this book that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Don’t give up. Just get up, and do something about your situation. You are better than that, and nobody has the right to judge you. It does not matter what others have to say about it. It’s all about you being safe and in no harm’s way. Sonja Slack is married with one child and one grandchild. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Champaign, Illinois. She moved to Indianapolis in 2010. She has had odd jobs all her life, but she was very good at writing short stories. In 2018, she wrote her first book of three short stories. She has more short stories to come.
