About the Book

"The Story of Flora" – written by a 10 year-old.

Ashling Hill releases The Beginning, the first in the Flora series. It is a thrilling journey of one young girl who tests her powers and confronts her fears. Flora makes friends and allies along the way, before the Area 55 aliens catch up to her.

When Floral awakens from a deep sleep, she discovers that she has wishing powers. When Area 55 aliens begin hunting her down for her special abilities, she must rely on her friend Hunter, her daughter, Rose; and a mix of human, animals, centaur, and dragon friends to help her along her dangerous adventures.

About the Author

When Ashling was in elementary school, she loved reading animal fiction and adventure stories. At the beginning of her 5th grade year, she had an idea of creating a girl with magic powers, and wanted to share her story with friends. She started to put her ideas together, and the end result is her first book, The Story of Flora, The Beginning. Ashling Hill is now in middle school, living in Florida with her family, and her beloved dog Spring. During her free time, she loves reading and playing trombone. Ashling is now working on her second book of the series, The Darkness Rises.
