1. Learn how to be Alone
We were born alone, and we will die alone. But people tend to have a hard time enjoying their life alone. Don’t get me wrong, we all need a companion. But learning how to be alone is a way to find your happiness because it’s not good to live off someone else’s love and happiness, as it can be too much for that significant other to be responsible for. Take the time to be alone and think to yourself. Your thoughts are what you’re battling. Learn how to confront and challenge your mind in regards to why your life is the way it is today. The answer is always your past, but you have to learn what parts of your past you’re still having a hard time getting over. If you have a mental illness, seek help. The inner self-knows everything you need to do to be happy, and you have to learn how to accept and follow your instinct.
2. Make it a Habit to Confront Your Past
Even if it’s something that happened yesterday, figure out why it’s keeping you from living in the present. Get the closure that you need because if you let it follow you to the present, you will bring unacceptable actions along with you, which people today don’t deserve to deal with. If you can’t find closure, learn to accept and move on.
3. Learn how to do Things for Your Happiness
People tend to do things for the wrong reasons. People have more of an obsession with surviving instead of actually living life. If it doesn’t make you happy, then it shouldn’t be a priority. Make happiness more of a priority than living. There are people out there who would rather be poor and live happy than being rich and sad. Which is proof that money isn’t the key to happiness, it’s all about becoming happy with your inner self before anything. Find out what makes you happy no matter your current situation. Money isn’t hard to make, but it’s hard for people to do things for their happiness. Another thing you can do is learn how to make money doing what makes you happy because as long as you have the willpower, there’s always a way.
4. Learn how to Accept Positive Words and Advice
Many positive people in the world spread their happiness and positivity to other people. Happy people tend to spread positivity just because it’s in their nature to do so. Just like someone who’s negative will spread negativity. Learn how to accept compliments and any other nice gestures from other people. Hopefully, you get enough in your life to where hearing positive words become a daily routine. It becomes a routine if you do step 5 below.
5. Explore Life Outside Your Home
Take the time to explore life outside your hometown. Travel even if it’s to another city or state. There’s so much to see in life, and so many people to meet who possibly could relate to you. There are people out there who would be amazed to meet someone like you, but you will never know that if you spend your life at home.
6. Spend More Time off Social Media
Social media is a great way to meet new people from all over the world. However, it is filled with people who portray their lives contrary to their real ones. Looking at someone else’s life through your devices could get you caught up because most things that you see are not real. The lifestyles that you possibly admire on social media are ordinarily fictional, and they are selling you a lifestyle that’s impossible for people to live. Overall, learn how to stay away from your phone. Spend time exploring around you in the real world because focusing on someone else’s life online is taking you off the path to learning who you are and what makes you happy. Focus on your life and make your life into the lifestyle that you deserve.
7. Focus on Making Other People Happy
In the beginning, it’s all about finding out what makes you happy, other than someone else’s company. You’ve learned more about yourself, you’ve accepted who you are, now it’s time to help those around you by spreading your inner happiness. When finding that special someone, the goal is to make them happy with your happiness. Even with friends, it’s all about making someone else happy other than yourself because you’re at that time of your life when you’re ready. You also can do that by admiring the good in other people and acknowledging it because people today have a hard time seeing the good in themselves with so much going on in society. Give a compliment where you see it’s needed. Take time to socialize, learn more about other people. Don’t be shy to show people your happiness.
8. Create a Lifestyle of Good Intentions
In life, there are two types of people; those with good intentions and the ones with bad intentions. Learning about the inner self and having inner happiness should give you the feeling of wanting to do good, to be a good person. An evil purpose is for greed and doing things for your gain, even if it could hurt someone in the end. Caring for people because it’s in your DNA is what people should learn. But society has created trophies that people feel they are more important than human beings, so they tend to have evil intentions for that soulless achievement. Don’t be that person.
9. Learn how to be Selfless
Being selfless brings a lot of rewards and more happiness than when being selfish could ever bring. Life works when you work it. It’s a job to live life, and many people don’t know how to do their job. We are here to help people other than ourselves when we become capable of doing so. It’s no problem to help yourself in the beginning, but once you feel you can share the love, please do so. People, who lack information, need information. Let me stress this to you; giving money isn’t always the way to help someone who’s struggling. If you want to give money, give information too on how to use that money. Information is the best remedy. If you have that information, sharing it will help people in life overcome their battles, which will make them stronger, and they would never forget you for saving their lives.
10. Prepare for Your Future
What people in the society lack, is hope. The hope for anything other than the problems they deal with now. People feel that their problems will never end. It feels like that because you’re not making enough effort to do anything about it. People don’t realize that they already have the things they need to help them; either do they know where to start. We have all the technology today to help us find out any information we need to do anything we want. You have to use technology for researching how to do the things you desire. If you never had experience in your interests, find a way to gain the experience before you venture into it. You can’t genuinely like something unless you’ve had experience. Get that experience, and once you gain enough of it, start to create goals on how to make your dreams into a lifestyle. Make a list of things you need to do to accomplish it. Preparing for a life bigger than you bring excitement, it gives people hope that there is a life greater than what they’re currently experiencing. This makes you feel worthy of going through your current situation, which will make you stronger because you know you got a great future ahead of you.
11. Read the Book
This book will not just give you more details on the above steps, but it will also offer you ideas on other aspects of your life that need to be taken care of to have a lifestyle of happiness. These steps I gave you are steps to happiness, but you have to think deeper than these steps, which is discussed more in the book. Your happiness can always be turned into a negative emotion, which can lead you back to a negative lifestyle. This book teaches you how to deal with those negative emotions and turn them into a positive outcome.
