About the Book
The Beauty Law: It’s a Yumi Day centers on an island in the Pacific Ocean where, for generations, a law forces parents with beautiful children to relinquish their children to the king and queen on their fifth birthday. The story focuses on Ana, a girl whose parents devise a code word system for her to use when she is taken from them. They hope that with Ana using the code word, it will allow them to recognize her on her twenty-first birthday.
About the Author
Author Patricia E. Smith is proud to announce the release of her new book, The Beauty Law: It’s a Yumi Day (published by AuthorHouse). Ms. Smith had to write a children’s storybook in Spanish for a conversational Spanish final at San Bernardino Valley College in San Bernardino, California. After she read the story to the class of twenty students, the students and her friends encouraged and motivated her to write a book, hence this children’s story.
