About the Book

As a child, I would often wonder how a bud could one day blossom into a beautiful flower. Why me? There’s no one I know who has seen this miracle. Blossoms is a collection of poems which celebrates the blossoming of a poet and exemplifies this miracle in a way that it has never been exemplified before.

About the Author

I consider myself a person who’s not very patient. I have always wished for a world where I could keep on talking and where my friends would keep on listening. But just as Voldemort could never kill Harry Potter, I know that my wish will never come true. Therefore finding Anne Frank’s words “paper has more patience than people” somewhat to my taste led me to begin expressing my thoughts in the form of art and poetry. I may be only fourteen, studying in New Millennium School, Bahrain, but I am ready to take on the world with my topsy-turvy thoughts until people are ready to listen.

When i was given the book or rather a compilation of thoughts over a period of time; i was curious to delve into a child's mind. "Me" echoes the pathos and angst of every teen. What has theyoung poet to tell us here. Am sure we have been there; so its relevant for every parent to stop and perceive whether the "me" in the child is being nurtured. At the same time every child must trust their parent's intention. "Seasons" enthralls me. I can relate to that. When its summer; i want cold. When its winter; i crave for a little more sun. In the rains ; its what a constant downpour?!. And the discontent keeps repeating. A beautiful observation too profound for a young mind to dissect. Other poems are sweet musings . "We can" a very motivating thought process. Everyone irrespective of age ; education and profession can spare a thought to implement it. "War" history is a witness; museums remind us; holocaust still haunts our souls but looking through the eyes of a teenager makes me wonder a young mind can see the vagaries and futility; where are our thoughts?! We still wage battles in the garb of caste ; creed; religion; status and in this technological era wars of ego; of being the best; of putting one another down to climb the ladder...... A good compilation to be learned through from time to time when one needs a realty check. Wishing the young poet; writer and thinker more such pages to fill. Thankyou for the privilege of reading it. Collection of poems are very fresh and straight from the heart of a very young yet aspiring mind. Poems reflects various moods of life in a unique blend. It was a real privilege to read the poems as it gives a glimpse of our childhood. Very nice compilation. Keep up the good work !
