About the Book

Searching for a new challenge in the shooting sports, a dynamic couple, who are experienced cowboy action shooters, entertain five developing new cowboy shooting games at their local cowboy club—cowboy fast draw, wild bunch, cowboy silhouettes (rifle and pistol), and cowboy long range. Each game involves gearing up with new guns, learning proper techniques, and practicing till proficient. After mastering each sport, their next step is to recruit and train a group of cowboy shooters for the purpose of upgrading everyone to competition status. Each new game is presented as a mixture of real information integrated with the real lives of this spirited and energetic couple. Cowboy Games will appeal to anyone who likes to read about a new shooting sport and how to do it right.

About the Author

The author is a retired medical physician. He has been writing about firearms and Cowboy Shooting since 2010. He has over 30 years experience as a Cowboy Action Shooter, and has also participated in most of the five Cowboy Games mentioned in this book. Over time he has especially mastered the art of the Fast Draw with draw/shoot times of under 0.50 seconds. This is the author’s 5th book. The first three were informational books: Cowboy Action Shooting, 44 magnum–shooting a classic big bore, Reloading–a practical hobby. His last book was his first fiction, Cowboy Shooting–On the Road. This latest work is a sequel to book #4 and continues the escapades of the dynamic duo into Cowboy Games.
