About the Book

We matter owes our structure to the forces of adhesion, cohesion, attraction and repulsion. Keeping balance is our main goal. Memories make a contribution to the balance we seek, but memory is fragile and imperfect. A fraught situation producing negative thoughts can lead to physical and mental illness and pain. In search of my heart is a coloring journal with a combination of time, space and imagination to help process memory. A limitation by space, color and a particular attention for a better concentration. Those pages are like a spaceship that can help to travel to any places fears or perhaps the pressure of civilization have prevented your mind from visiting here a series of images with no single meaning or concrete existence, with your color pencil you will decide what the images become. You will describe mew galaxies by following your thoughts with freedom. Though trapped in a body, the spirit seeks freedom. Both young and old will benefit from this highly personal art project. It provides a pleasant exercise in writing, being creative, abstract thinking, symbolism, puzzling, and reflection. For those who feel depression or anxiety, the practice can help with discerning when to hold on and when to let go. Artists of the heart will develop steady concentration, sensory awareness, and an active imagination. Let it be easy. Let the only effort you apply be finding the courage to quiet voices in your head, such as complexities, expectation, doubts, rumination on the past, blame, and comparison to others instead listen to the voices of safety, Identity, connection, strength, and autonomy. Naming your work at the start may give you a sense of direction, or when its finished, a sense of accomplishment. Date your drawings to place your ideas in time.
