Cover girl…. As she sleeps under different covers And her mind loses numbers She... Only wishes to be understood And one day find a man that will take her out the hood She believes that her intentions are good But yet she's misunderstood... She could have been a beautiful actress But the fact is that the faith that she practice Is viewed by most as such a dreadfully thing But she's searching for man that will be her king And maybe one day he will give her a ring And if he can just forget her past Then maybe it will last And he could be the man of her dreams To accept her entirely and see her as a Queen So when you see her with her make-up on Do you see the struggle And she so wrong Does anybody hear her sad sad song Or is she just to be thought of as just dead wrong Cover girl... See no one knows her types of pain Or even think about from where she came As if she wanted this type of life But is she to be blamed for not being right When good women view her in shame And point there fingers at her to blame Do you think that she likes the fact That no one remembers her name Or is she a victim of the misogynistic game... Only to be seen as body Of a beautiful hottie But the fact is She never had a fatherly figure Just fake love from hood ass niggas… Not even from a black man or even a white man Who understands... Or even lend a small helping hand So she tricks her body out for a couple a grand Living life eating out of somebody's else hand But she never even had the chance To even get an education… Or even a chance to make it Because when she was little somebody decided to take it And ever since that day she can only think of her rapier Asking god why did he even make her Cover girl... Alone in this world With no one to even save her While everyone laughs about her shitty past And she feels bad No body offers a hand to save her Cover girl... ~Sincerely Yours~ ~Inspired by a close personal friend~

About the Book
I (sincerely yours) have learned in life that with great discomfort and misunderstanding comes great change. With this change, everyone tries to be as politically correct as possible, but they neglect to truly understand or embrace the evolution and passion of humanity and the human consciousness. Through great meditation, I came up with the title Poetically Correct because it fully describes the nature of thought and evolution of humanity. These poems are the embodiment of that. With all power to God, the universal energy or greater power, I intend to express the best way I can the conscious thought that has been given to me throughout my life. Under the United States’ First Amendment, I exclusively exercise my rights to freedom of speech. These are the thoughts, views, and internal consciousness of sincerely yours.
About the Author
Sincerely Yours is a single African-American male author born and raised in North Charleston, South Carolina. During his life, he has experienced many different trials and tribulations, and he has vowed to express his prospective through poetry. His goal is to provide a retrospective outlook toward many of the tribulations of the world so that his readers will have clarity, enlightenment, and most of all, acceptance in light of the issues that are relevant today.
