James the Raccoon is excited for baseball tryouts, but he’s worried he won’t be able to play with the other kids. James is blind and must use a special ball to play. With the help of his dad and his coach, James discovers he can play baseball just like all the other kids!
About the Author
Rebekah was born with an eye disease called Retinitis Pigmentosa. She went to public school until the age of 14 when she began attending the Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind. She graduated valedictorian in 2001. She now has 3 children of her own who also have her eye disease. She now writes children’s books to let her children and other children with a visual impairment know that they can do anything they put their mind to, despite their disability.
