As we can see, faith is about hope. As I mentioned in the introduction, man has never pursued anything that he did not hope to have. In other words, that which he hoped for has always been the driving force behind his actions. If you notice, it is this hope that drives people out of their beds; leads them to school and university; encourages them to stay up late revising for exams; and learn new skills etc. By this evidence, it is very clear that without hope, our world would not be the way it is today. In fact, there would be no planes, cars, television, mobile phones, radios, boats, computers, sofas, electricity, light bulbs, etc. It is interesting to know that Thomas Edison (the inventor of the electrical light bulb) tried many times over before he was able to come up with the light bulb. So, the fact that he was trying over, and over again, leaves no doubt that he hoped to invent it. As I said, he had ‘seen’ it in the spiritual before it ever manifested in the natural.
