About the Author

Johanna Baldino was born on a snowy day in NYC. She has been painting and writing since she was very little. When she painted on the living room carpet her parents encouraged her artistic tendencies by allowing her to paint on the walls in her bedroom instead. She moved to California to be able to live closer to her sister. “I am strength” started as a poem with a story she very much wanted to share. When Johanna’s nephew showed an intense love for bedtime stories it inspired her to turn that poem into a book and create paintings with images and colors vibrant enough to go along with each important message.
