About the Book

The book is a children’s book to help understand children who have been placed in homes away from their family of origin. It aims to help caregivers understand the displaced children’s perspective, hence the dog pound and foster care and authorities and ASPCA.


About the Author

Priscilla Andrea Sobremonte was born at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix Arizona, known as the Valley of the Sun. She was the second child of Anacleto Sobremonte and Andrea Sobremonte. Erlinda was 12 years older than Priscilla. As in may stories there was early tragedy and life struggles to content with. Priscilla was optimistic and could look towards the optimistic side of life. Priscilla joined the United States Airforce at the age of 20 due to patriotism and a desire to attend higher education. Priscilla obtained Associate Degrees one in General Curriculum from the University of Maryland European Division and the other from Community College of The Air Force. Bachelor’s Degrees Social Sciences with Major in Psychology (BA) Chapman University and Healthcare Administration (BS) University of Illinois at Carbondale. After leaving the United States Airforce she obtained a Masters in Social Work from California State University Stanislaus. Priscilla has worked with severely emotionally disturbed children and adolescents, Foster Care Agencies, County Mental Health, Prison Correctional Health, Methadone Regional Clinical Director, Private Practice (Solutions Focused Behavioral Health), and inpatient mental health. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California and a surveyor for a National Correctional Accreditation Agency. Priscilla is a survivor of two episodes of cancer 2012 and 2017. Priscilla currently lives in the East Bay in California and works with veterans.
