About the Book

Back Pack Lilly is about a smart dog who promotes studying over playing. Twins Alex and Alexis love to have fun, but sometimes they need to be reminded to do their work. Lilly knows just how to get them to study through her method of “Stop, drop, work, then play!”

About the Author

Maya Jai Pinson is a busy 8th grader, and a native Washingtonian. She excels academically, she’s an actress and an athlete, she plays the drums and the cello, and she loves to laugh and have fun. Maya realizes that balancing academics and extracurricular activities can sometimes be a struggle, so she wrote Back Pack Lilly to inspire kids to keep their priorities straight because schoolwork is more important.
