About the Book

In June 2011, Marian Harris shared her life story with us in her first book, The 19 Cent Millionaire. One constant Marian has experienced since then is that EVERYONE HAS A STORY! And, miraculously, through every story, there can be a lesson learned and a silver lining uncovered, if you just look closely enough. To Marian, this is the beauty of life and the importance of community. While Marian firmly believes we must all take personal responsibility to nurture our own health and well-being, she feels it is equally important to invest in, and give love and encouragement to others to create a successful community of like-minded individuals. Each person intent on reaching their own goals, but continually lifting others up along the way. The people in this book have done just that and it is Marian’s hope their stories will inspire and motivate you to dream BIG and to never give up or give in. There is strength in numbers and while the journey to your goals may not be easy, it will be worth it, and, a whole lot more fun if done together.

About the Author

Marian was an honor student, State Champion Swimmer, Division 1 Scholarship Athlete and model. As a life-long friend once quoted, “Marian is the last person I’d ever expect to have an uphill battle.” Yet, at the age of thirty-eight and a mother of three young children, Marian’s life had unexpectedly begun to unravel and her self-esteem was all but destroyed. Through the help of dear friends and immediate family, however, Marian found the strength to begin anew by moving hours away, to a strange city, where she knew almost no one, with no job, no money, and three young mouths to feed. After many years and numerous challenges, Marian’s resume seems much more like the one she had originally dreamed of or anticipated. Marian is a Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor. She and her husband Jim Harris, co own Maxresultstraining.com, Pulse45.com and BodyPlex in Oakwood, Ga. In addition, Marian has been featured on Oprah, Your Carolina with Jack and Kimberly, starred in a fitness video with Body by Jake, produced and starred in her own fitness video and has been featured on Exercise TV. In 2011, Marian published her first book, The 19 Cent Millionaire. In 2012, Marian added figure competitor to her list of accomplishments; but Marian is, by far, the happiest when helping others achieve life-changing goals through fitness and positive thinking. Marian currently resides in Gainesville, Ga with her husband, Jim, her youngest daughter, Dorothy, 17, and their two, fur children, Max and Molly. Sydney, 24, is a professional photographer @ Loveleighco.photography. Hunter, 22, is finishing his bachelor’s degree at Kennesaw State University. Marian and Jim spend their days helping their clients in the areas of health and fitness, nutrition, goal setting, and how to live their best lives.
