About the Book

On December 24, 2006, I spent eighteen hours having open-heart surgery. Learning to eat all over again has been a chore. If you’ve never had open-heart surgery before, your whole life flashes before you in a millisecond. If you’ve never had a friend, you seem to find one fast. It’s someone you can talk to, hold hands with, smile at, or who will just sit there with you in a time of need. I found all those things in the twenty-third division of Psalms. This division of the book of Psalms is the most uplifting verse in the whole Bible. Heart disease, diabetes, cancer, or any other ailment makes you think about that one thing and the one time you decided not to see the doctor or see your doctor. I am sorry, none of us, male or female, know when the Lord is coming to call our number. Becoming ill, ending up in the hospital, having shortness of breath, or maybe even having a heart attack is not good.

About the Author

Michael E. Whitlow is an Executive Chef and a man who loves the Lord. After spending nearly a decade of studying hospitality/business, catering for companies like The Ohio State University, Union Grove Baptist Church, Columbus Public Schools, New Covenant Believers Church and cast of others, Michael knows what truly drives conversions, finishing the task, and helping others prepare different meals for their love ones. It is how well you connect with the heart-beating people you are trying to help and communicate your understanding back to them. Michael has landed a degree in Hospitality Restaurant Management, Pastry & Arts and a Baking Program Certificate from the Columbus State Community College. A BA in Business Management & Masters of Management from the Ohio Christian University, and working on his DBA in Strategy & Tactics from Capella University. Michael was one of the first young men to accomplish Home economics in Columbus Public Schools in 1970-71.
