God's Call page 346 excerpt from the section: Mission Field ..... ... People were really getting angry. What seemed a peaceful place to live was turning into a war zone of words. Saturday I sat down on the sofa and felt led to pray for the park. I asked God to bring peace to Cottonwood Grove and send a peacemaker to help bring the community together. As soon as I said "Amen," God said, "Go apply for Manager." Scripture went through my head: "Pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves." Luke 10:2b-3 But we already have a park manager. Again God said, "Go apply for manager." I moaned. Wait a minute! "Al doesn't want me to work and I don't want to work. I don't know anything about managing a Mobile Home Community." Again I received, "Go apply for Manager." I thought, "tell Al." Sunday morning early, Al walked by and asked, "Did you apply for manager of the park like God told you to?" I moaned again and said, "I'll apply tomorrow." I went into the study and typed a resume. Monday morning found me in the office across the street talking to the park owner, Jim Ratzlaff. I found out that he had fired and evicted the manager Saturday and five other people had applied for the job. They were all experienced park managers and Jim would let me know Wednesday who he would hire. I tried to convince him to hire someone with experience. ..... To my amazement and chagrin, Jim called me and gave me the job as manager. I was immediately joyful upon accepting the position. Using the Bible as my guide, I decided to implement Mat 18:15-17: .....

About the Book
God was with me when my uncle molested me as a small child, when my dad died, when I went through being unequally yoked, when I lost a child and almost losing another, when I encountered prejudices during Vietnam era, when I experienced racial riot, when our house burned down, when I encountered a horrible auto accident, when I went to a mission field in KS, when I suffered breast cancer, when I faced danger from gangs, when I had a catastrophic stroke, and when I experienced normal things in between. He never left me nor did he forsake me. He has always been my rock. This book shows what has happened to me and what Jesus showed me and how you can apply scripture, doctrine, and biblical principles to your everyday life.
About the Author
Fran (AKA Pennywind) fell in love with Jesus when she was 3 years old, was baptized when she was 10, called to be a missionary when she was 13 and God gave her a mission field when she was 48. Fran had wonderful, loving, Christian parents and grew up on a farm in a small East Texas town. Her Dad died when she was 11 years old. Her family got running water, an indoor bathroom, electricity, television and gas when she was 12. They got a telephone when she was 16. Fran graduated in the top 25 % of my Senior class. took accounting in college and a course in journalism years later. She has a wonderful Christian husband whom she loves more now than the day she married him and has been blessed with 2 children (a boy and a girl). Her husband was in the Navy the first 15 years of their marriage and they were Unequally Yoked about 13 years of that time. They lived in VA, RI, TX, MS, CO and KS. They visited about 36 other states and 2 other countries. Fran is 73 years old now and has been married for 52 years. She has 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. There have been a lot of ups and downs in her life, but she was the most down when she felt like God took her out of His service and set her on a shelf. That's when God told her to write this book about her spiritual life. It was a labor of love.
