About the Book

Caleb is a young boy whose hobbies include playing sports; spending time with his best friend, Batu; and playing his flute. That all changes one day when they discover a mysterious object glowing on the beach after a lightning storm. Caleb and Batu discover a new kind of magic that leads them to learn lessons on what’s truly important and how to forgive.

About the Author

Rae Edie was born in Long Island, New York but has lived in Seattle for the past eight years. The Fulgurite Flute is her first published book, and is a story inspired by her father. Though she has a career in finance she spends most of her time telling stories. Rae enjoys creating imaginative tales out of everyday life and the freedom that writing allows.
