About the Book
Here You Are: A Tye & Zak Adventure is the first installment in this imaginative and exploratory series. Join Tye and Zak as they move through imagination on this planet we call home and relate the information about what’s goes on beneath our feet! Through these characters, one can learn how we have the majestic mountains we view and what makes them grow. As well as see the effects of what happens under our streets. Here You Are is the setting for reminding us that planet Earth is alive and is constantly moving and growing. This series starts our young readers out through the imaginations of Tye & Zak as they encounter exciting experiences of learning the movements of our planet and our place on it.
About the Author
Growing up in Northeast Texas, Terria Willis has always been an explorer of nature and science. Through her childhood years of fossil hunting and river walking, learning how to write with the earth was something she was grateful for. With gardening, nutrition, and geology being some of her many hobbies, it was only a matter of time before a book series for children emerged. Collectively writing as a mother for years, a dream for an educational book series has been the main inspiration and motivation behind Here You Are. After finding the local talent in Terry and Garon for the illustrations, Tye & Zak have been able to start their adventures!
Terria currently lives in Plano, Texas, with her spouse, Trae; her children, Abbey and Kadin; and dog-humans Tyson and Cain. Her oldest daughter, Alexandra, lives in Dallas and is presently attending college. Terria is currently working on the second and third installments in the series of A Tye & Zak Adventure and is looking forward to future prospects in life.
Kazak, the character Zak, is the very image of our Captain Awesome—O, Kazak C. Garrett. This one animal is loved and admired by countless individuals. From the day he was born, he has been a huge a part of so many lives. Peggy, Gary, Paul, Trae, thank you. I know we are all better people for having him in our hearts. Kazak is and will always be the coolest dog around.
