About the Author
The author has spent a number of years working at the publications department of Boeing Airplane Company. During that time, was required to serve the training and instruction requirements of the Air Force and defense department.. Eventually, as a sideline, he came to notice a fascination the historians have had with the military figure of George Armstrong Custer. Part of the attraction seems to be the paradoxical end of such a brilliant military career. The author came to realize that a way to understand the resulting questions about the tragedy might come to focus on the purely military aspects of Custer’s career.
