About the Book

This is a nonfiction story about a normal, everyday family living the American dream. They lived in a home filled with love and laughter until it all changed in the blink of an eye due to cybercriminals. Their situation got so intense and dangerous that they lost everything, becoming homeless and penniless. They had to beg strangers on the streets for money just to eat. This was no game that the cybercriminals were playing. They were out to destroy this once-happy family. The family’s cat died due to a lethal dose of rat poisoning. The stress they experienced caused illness for the entire family. The parents ended up in the hospital with major problems, such as heart attacks and cancer. This was a petrifying experience for everyone, but most of all for the young son. He didn’t know or understand how to cope with this horrifying ordeal that was transpiring around him; the only recourse that he could think of was to use self-harm to numb the pain—the irony of using pain to deal with pain.

About the Author

Brandon M. Cipriano grew up in Daytona Beach, Florida, and went to school in Nevada. He started writing this book at the age of seventeen in Cancun, Mexico, and he now resides in the United States.

"FANTASTIC BOOK...should be a MOVIE. I am 69 years old and have gone through cybercrime and identity theft and it was miserable. I now have to prove I am me. Luckily I didn't become homeless but it sure put a big dent in my finances. I also went to the authorities and they were no help at all. I am a widow without any children so I was afraid for my life like this family was. I was so afraid I moved. What this young man had to go through is sickening. I know it was hard for the parents also but to know as a parent that you can't provide for your son had to be awful. These people seem very nice and seems as though they were very generous to others who needed help but when they needed help, those people turned their backs on the Cipriano family. This book affected me so much that it kept me up at night praying for them. I pray that the young man who wrote this helped him get out all his anger and frustration and could finally move on to live a normal life. The parents should be commended for their determination to keep their son safe and to keep their faith during the worst scenario I have ever heard of. This book makes you realize just how bad our country has become. I hope someone in Hollywood gets the chance to read this book and decide that this book should be a MOVIE so the country could see just how bad things have become. My prayers to out to this family."

"I am in total agreement with the other people's comments. This is a MUST by book. Cybercrime and Identity Theft is going on everywhere now. My girlfriend and I are also victims of this and believe me, the police don't give a s..t. When it comes to this you are on your own. We lost our apartment because they stole our money, we lost our dog because we couldn't afford to feed him plus he had no where to live and we lost our lives because someone else took them over. It got so bad that we were living in a dumpster because we were in a new state and didn't know anyone. This is how we ate also. I know it sounds gross (and it was) but that was our only we knew how to survive.This book tells you how good they had it and now how bad they have it. The person who had it the worst is the young author. This is something that he will carry on through life with him and that sucks because he will always have trust issues for life now. Our government is so worried about politics (like Hillary should be in jail and she isn't. If it was me or you who did what she did, all the lies she has said, they would of put us in jail and threw away the key but instead she gets the opportunity to run our country!) There isn't anyone helping the normal people who are going through this. It is a pain in the ass. My girlfriend and I went out to eat and I went to pay by credit card and the waiter had said I was just in there, which I wasn't, and the same card was used but I looked different since he was the other guys waiter too. I had to give them 2 more forms of identity to prove it was me plus the police had to be called. All this just because we wanted to go have a nice, peaceful dinner.This book, Riches to Rags Through Cybercrime, is an awful story but it is also inspiring. "I bought book because of book cover and title. When I start to read book I was in shock. The child had to live a bad life because of bad people and parents had to decide what to do to keep child safe.This is real story but upsetting story. "I read this entire book in one sitting. Once I started reading, I could not stop. I know people almost have to have to have computers and e-mail addresses in this world of modern technology, but how easy it makes it for people to destroy the lives of others by hacking into this technology is beyond sad. You think it can't or won't happen to you and I look at this family and how it has effected their lives to this very day. They have went from having millions and great health to now living on a fixed income due to the health issues that I know had to be caused by stress. Stress is a silent killer and can effect every one in different ways. It is so sad that trying to make things faster and easier actually give complete strangers access to all of our life pretty much. It is even more sad to me that these people that have destroyed this great family's life, have not been found. My heart goes out to them and the strength of the parents from losing everything and still seeing that their son graduated is commendable. The strength of the son doing everything he could to not let his parents seeing how much it was effecting him. even to cut on himself to help ease the pain trying to protect his parents while they were doing everything they could to protect him. "My wife bought me this book because we too have had identity theft through cybercrime and I was down in the dumps because we lost $9,000 and couldn't see how we could come out of this but after reading what this family went through, I feel like we got lucky. This book is one that I think everyone should read. I can't imagine how this family felt and how they found the courage to keep living. To know that you have a young son to take care of and you don't know how to do it had to be devastating for them. It sounds to me like this boy was lucky to have strong willed parents especially his mother. "Simply INSPIRING as it is HORRIFIC and it is a MUST PURCHASE. This family went through things that most people can""t ever imagine. The parents worked hard, the child went to a private school so you know that were raised properly, they took all the precautions necessary to keep themselves safe like having hi-tech security system in their house, a safe like you see in banks and yet with all that protection, they lost their identities to cybercriminals. The family has intruders in their home constantly without knowing it because the intruders were obviously professional, all they worked hard for was stolen so they were left broke and homeless but yet that mother stood firm on her belief in our Lord. Now that is hard to do. Just imagine you and your family going from money, a nice home and a legal vehicle to nothing but to live in an illegal vehicle and beg for money to feed their child? The Lord will test us all at times and this family sure has been tested but the mother brought back the faith in the child and husband through a lot of prayer I'm sure. "This book is a sad yet inspiring book. I have read this book twice now, that's how inspiring it is. The family in the book went through hell but instead of giving up, they were courageous enough to keep trying everything they could. I truly believe the parents kept trying everything they could because of their young son. I know that I could have never had the strength nor the willpower to keep going. I know that sounds awful but after being tortured to almost death (the criminals did poison and kill the family cat) and losing everything including their home, the roof they kept over their son's head, I just don't know where they found the strength and courage to keep on going. They slept in their unregistered and uninsured vehicle and had to beg strangers on the streets to feed their son. I just can't even comprehend having to go through that. This book needs to be on the news so people in this nation can see just what this nation has come to. I also think it should be a movie for the same reason. When I hear friends or family complain, I tell them that before they complain, get this book, read it and then they will realize just how fortunate they are. "This book is probably one of the BEST books I've ever read and I read a lot. This family went through more than I could've ever gone through. Reading this story brought tears to my eyes and found myself praying for this family. To be tortured so severely and to have a young son have to go through all of this had to devastate him along with his parents. I have heard of identity theft and cyber-crime on T.V. but have never heard about it happening to regular people. After I read this book I had my husband read it (which he normally doesn't do) and he too had tears in his eyes. By reading this book it educated us a lot on identity theft and cyber-crime and we have now take special precautions so we don't become victims like this family. "Wow, what a story. This is a very good and knowledgeable book but at the same time it's awful what this family went through. To be harassed, stalked, and almost killed over hackers is beyond scary. We have a young son and I just couldn't imagine as a mother to see him have to go through what he went through. It had to break his parents hearts. I cried while reading this book while having goose bumps all over my body also. We have a security alarm system in our home and I felt comfortable with it when my husband was away on business trips but I no longer do. I know there has been a lot of hacking into peoples computers now a days but to go as far as breaking into their home whenever they wanted to, taking all their personal and sentimental items, making them lose everything they had and worst of all, scarring their son for live is incomprehensible. It took a lot of courage for their son, Brandon, to write his true story and I hope society takes CYBER-CRIME, IDENTITY THEFT and HACKING Seriously now. I can't imagine going from living a wonderful life he said they lived and living in a beautiful home to being broke and having to live in their vehicle and have to beg for money for food. I have 7 friends who have gone through this, obviously not nearly as severe as this family, but it turned their lives upside down. It was one of my friends who told me about this book. UNBELIEVABLY FANTASTIC BOOK....my wife bought this book and cried as she read about a 10 year old and his family going from having it all to being homeless and having no money. She told me I had to read this book (and you don't say no to my wife!) and I can't imagine how this kid went through all this. Read it for yourself and if it doesn't kill you inside from what they went through then there is something seriously wrong with you. My wife and I hope this family tries to move on and hopefully gets some counseling in order to deal with this. This horrible story is their life now that they have to live with forever. We lost our apartment because they stole our money, we lost our dog because we couldn't afford to feed him plus he had no where to live and we lost our lives because someone else took them over. It got so bad that we were living in a dumpster because we were in a new state and didn't know anyone. This is how we ate also. I know it sounds gross (and it was) but that was our only we knew how to survive.This book tells you how good they had it and now how bad they have it. The person who had it the worst is the young author. This is something that he will carry on through life with him and that sucks because he will always have trust issues for life now. Our government is so worried about politics (like Hillary should be in jail and she isn't. If it was me or you who did what she did, all the lies she has said, they would of put us in jail and threw away the key but instead she gets the opportunity to run our country!) There isn't anyone helping the normal people who are going through this. It is a pain in the ass. My girlfriend and I went out to eat and I went to pay by credit card and the waiter had said I was just in there, which I wasn't, and the same card was used but I looked different since he was the other guys waiter too. I had to give them 2 more forms of identity to prove it was me plus the police had to be called. All this just because we wanted to go have a nice, peaceful dinner.This book, Riches to Rags Through Cybercrime, is an awful story but it is also inspiring. Like I said you have to get this book to understand what I am trying to convey. Like another person said, I hope Brandon, the author, writes a sequel to this book to see what has happened to them. "I bought book because of book cover and title. When I start to read book I was in shock. The child had to live a bad life because of bad people and parents had to decide what to do to keep child safe.This is real story but upsetting story. People have to get book to see that like these people they went through bad time but God had a plan for them. The mother faith kept this family together and alive. I know child will never forget what happened to him and I know his heart must hurt and his parents heart must hurt but faith and God will guide them to better life than ever. "I read this entire book in one sitting. Once I started reading, I could not stop. I know people almost have to have to have computers and e-mail addresses in this world of modern technology, but how easy it makes it for people to destroy the lives of others by hacking into this technology is beyond sad. You think it can't or won't happen to you and I look at this family and how it has effected their lives to this very day. They have went from having millions and great health to now living on a fixed income due to the health issues that I know had to be caused by stress. Stress is a silent killer and can effect every one in different ways. It is so sad that trying to make things faster and easier actually give complete strangers access to all of our life pretty much. It is even more sad to me that these people that have destroyed this great family's life, have not been found. My heart goes out to them and the strength of the parents from losing everything and still seeing that their son graduated is commendable. The strength of the son doing everything he could to not let his parents seeing how much it was effecting him. even to cut on himself to help ease the pain trying to protect his parents while they were doing everything they could to protect him. "My wife bought me this book because we too have had identity theft through cybercrime and I was down in the dumps because we lost $9,000 and couldn't see how we could come out of this but after reading what this family went through, I feel like we got lucky. This book is one that I think everyone should read. I can't imagine how this family felt and how they found the courage to keep living. To know that you have a young son to take care of and you don't know how to do it had to be devastating for them. It sounds to me like this boy was lucky to have strong willed parents especially his mother. This sons book should not only be a book but should be a movie because everyone should know what happens in the United States when it comes to identity theft and cybercrime. People all over the world use computers now but you never think about what you can actually get off of the computer. It's obviously not all good stuff. "Simply INSPIRING as it is HORRIFIC and it is a MUST PURCHASE. This family went through things that most people can""t ever imagine. The parents worked hard, the child went to a private school so you know that were raised properly, they took all the precautions necessary to keep themselves safe like having hi-tech security system in their house, a safe like you see in banks and yet with all that protection, they lost their identities to cybercriminals. The family has intruders in their home constantly without knowing it because the intruders were obviously professional, all they worked hard for was stolen so they were left broke and homeless but yet that mother stood firm on her belief in our Lord. "This book is a sad yet inspiring book. I have read this book twice now, that's how inspiring it is. The family in the book went through hell but instead of giving up, they were courageous enough to keep trying everything they could. I truly believe the parents kept trying everything they could because of their young son. I know that I could have never had the strength nor the willpower to keep going. I know that sounds awful but after being tortured to almost death (the criminals did poison and kill the family cat) and losing everything including their home, the roof they kept over their son's head, I just don't know where they found the strength and courage to keep on going. They slept in their unregistered and uninsured vehicle and had to beg strangers on the streets to feed their son. I just can't even comprehend having to go through that. This book needs to be on the news so people in this nation can see just what this nation has come to. I also think it should be a movie for the same reason. When I hear friends or family complain, I tell them that before they complain, get this book, read it and then they will realize just how fortunate they are. "This book is probably one of the BEST books I've ever read and I read a lot. This family went through more than I could've ever gone through. Reading this story brought tears to my eyes and found myself praying for this family. To be tortured so severely and to have a young son have to go through all of this had to devastate him along with his parents. I have heard of identity theft and cyber-crime on T.V. but have never heard about it happening to regular people. After I read this book I had my husband read it (which he normally doesn't do) and he too had tears in his eyes. By reading this book it educated us a lot on identity theft and cyber-crime and we have now take special precautions so we don't become victims like this family. "Wow, what a story. This is a very good and knowledgeable book but at the same time it's awful what this family went through. To be harassed, stalked, and almost killed over hackers is beyond scary. We have a young son and I just couldn't imagine as a mother to see him have to go through what he went through. It had to break his parents hearts. I cried while reading this book while having goose bumps all over my body also. We have a security alarm system in our home and I felt comfortable with it when my husband was away on business trips but I no longer do. I know there has been a lot of hacking into peoples computers now a days but to go as far as breaking into their home whenever they wanted to, taking all their personal and sentimental items, making them lose everything they had and worst of all, scarring their son for live is incomprehensible. It took a lot of courage for their son, Brandon, to write his true story and I hope society takes CYBER-CRIME, IDENTITY THEFT and HACKING Seriously now. This FANTASTIC book is an eye opener for the public to read.We hear about Cybercrime and Identity theft all the time on television bs but NEVER when it happens to us normal people. UNBELIEVABLY FANTASTIC BOOK....my wife bought this book and cried as she read about a 10 year old and his family going from having it all to being homeless and having no money. She told me I had to read this book (and you don't say no to my wife!) and I can't imagine how this kid went through all this. Read it for yourself and if it doesn't kill you inside from what they went through then there is something seriously wrong with you. My wife and I hope this family tries to move on and hopefully gets some counseling in order to deal with this. This horrible story is their life now that they have to live with forever. GET THIS BOOK.
