About the Book

This book is a spin-off of a book that I wrote in 2008 entitled A Fragile Child’s Cry. It will give you an in-depth look at how we deal with and have dealt with taking care of two sons with special needs that require a tremendous amount of love and care in order for them to survive and also how taking care of them has changed my wife and my life forever —from the daily medications that both of them take to the numerous doctors’ visits that they have to attend. Get ready to take a ride on a journey that you will never forget. In order to get the full effects of this book, I would say that you would definitely be missing out if you haven’t read my first book, A Fragile Child’s Cry.

About the Author

My name is Henry Stampley. I am sixty-three years old. I was born in Vallejo, California, and now reside in Memphis, Tennessee, with my beautiful wife, Gwendolyn, and our two sons with special needs whom we adopted. My wife and I have been married for twenty-seven years. Together, we have seven children with the addition of our adopted sons. We also have ten grandchildren. My wife and I were foster parents for a number of years before we adopted our two sons. We have had a total of six foster children that we have cared for over the years. One of the greatest joys from the experience of being a foster parent was the adoption of our sons. Our oldest son, Tavarius, inspired me to write my first book, A Fragile Child’s Cry, and it is because of both of my sons that I decided to do my second book, which is titled 17 Years and Still Struggling.
