Open your mouth big and wide and look in the mirror at your baby teeth. “I don’t have baby teeth! I have big boy teeth! I'm a big boy, Mama,” Grayson says. “Oh, I know you are a big boy but Let me explain it to you, so open wide," Mother asks. Grayson open his mouth big and wide and looks into the mirror “like this?” mother laughs and says “yes Grayson like that. So all your teeth right now are babies. Your adult big boy teeth will soon start to sprout out of your gums like a carrot would in our garden outside. They sprout right out of your gums and start to push your baby teeth roots out. That’s why we lose our baby teeth.” Grayson's mother explains to him.

While battling sugar bugs from living on his teeth, Grayson learns the many facts about healthy teeth and unhealthy teeth. With the help of his mother, Grayson stays motivated to keep his white smile by sharing the step by step correct way to brush and care for your teeth. Grayson finds himself eager to share the facts with his friends.
About the Author
From Sacramento, California. Just a small town preschool teacher, Ashlee began writing short stories as a hobby for the children at her family’s child care center. These stories were written for the children that needed guidance and advice. As an early childhood education major and working full time, Ashlee had her first son, Grayson, whom she writes stories for now. With over half a decade of experience working with children and becoming a mother, it is now a goal to accomplish bigger things. One goal is to provide a childcare environment that is safe and secure to everyone, where children can grow and learn. Another goal is to provide tools and resources for children to turn to in tough times. The ability to imagine and explore through activity, art and reading is an incredible thing. Providing a children’s book for children to read about experiences they can relate too and learn from gives Ashlee a chance to reach children worldwide, not just in her center. “Every child has a voice and I want to help them find the strength and confidence to let it be heard.”
