The story of Francine and Chez was inspired when my younger son, Herman was in the second grade. Have you ever thought about how you and your best friend became friends? Friends are always kind to each other. They never try to get you to do anything that your parents would not approve of you doing. They are respectful to themselves, to their parents, to your parents, to other adults, as well as to you.

About the Author

Yvonne Daniel Head Cannon, Ed.S is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. She was an honor graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in Atlanta. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from Morris Brown College in Atlanta. She received a full scholarship to Atlanta University (Clark Atlanta University) where she earned a Master of Arts Degree in Education with a concentration in Behavior Disorders. She earned an Advance Placement Certificate in English from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia. Also Gifted Endorsement from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia and she earned an Educational Specialist degree (Ed.S) in Educational Administration from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee. Yvonne Daniel Head Cannon, Ed.S is a former teacher of the Behavior Disordered and the Gifted and Talented who received Stellar Teacher Awards. Yvonne is a published poet who has received two Outstanding Poet Awards. She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and Central United Methodist Church. Yvonne is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Daniel of Atlanta, Georgia. She is divorced from the late Emory Head, Jr. and was married to the late Herman Cannon, Sr. Yvonne is the mother of two adult sons, Arkos D’ Andre’ Head and Herman Cannon, Jr.
