About the Book

This is a compilation of the various thoughts and reflections, that I was lead on over the coarse of many years in preparation for the enlightenment of my soul by God. The exact length of time that it took for me to do this was about a year and a half. Though it was not an easy process to begin, and brought many tears, it also brought me a cleansing and purifying to my heart that has left me truly joyful. It also required much opening of my soul to others, and this book is the final opening up that I want to do. The purpose of the book is to give the reader a way of experiencing this process that I went through by experiencing my emotions in poetry.

About the Author

I am a cradle Catholic and have studied the faith and the Bible for most of my life. Teaching in Catholic Schools, religious education, and being involved in many Bible study groups, and am leading a Bible study group presently. I have a BS from Marian College in Elementary Education and advanced classes in Reading Education, Math and Science. My teaching career began in Catholic schools and finished in the Kansas City School System where I retired from teaching. Since my retirement, I am involved in leading a Bible group at an assisted living home; help out in the local homeless shelter; been a participant in the Church's RCIA classes assisting those who were interested in joining the faith; participated in leading in the Church in singing for the worship services, visiting shut-ins, camping with my husband and family, cooking with Jim, baking, assisting Jim with updating our home, canning, spending time with brothers and sisters... Jim and I spend time with the grandkids, and our "adopted" kids and grandkid. (These are kids that we have assisted as teens through their tough times.) We moved to Clinton, Ia after I retired, to be near to our oldest daughter and her family.
